Aim

Comprehensively form graduates in Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny through the application of methods, techniques and procedures of these disciplines, to the systems of animal reproduction and veterinary medicine; to contribute in the solution of medical and livestock problems of animal species in the agricultural environment in a sustainable fashion and contribute in public health.

Enrollment profile

The applicant to the program must have a high school, baccalaureate or equivalent degree and must prove knowledge, skills in appreciation and care for animals, tending their health, food it consumes and the environment around them; and values such as respect, commitment, social responsibility, honesty, ethics and search for truth; reading and comprehension and writing diverse kinds of texts.

Study Plan:

The study plan (2015) includes 52 learning units with a total of 274 credits. Its modality is a credit system (areas: general, basic, common, disciplinary basic, deepening and complementary); the school periods are semiannual; and the entry promotion is annual (August).
