To train professionals in computational systems capable of identifying, developing and applying avant-garde solutions to the changing needs of the different productive, educational and social sectors of the country from a perspective multidisciplinary, critical, assertive and proactive will develop during its formation.
The computer Systems Engineering program will be recognized as a world class program, aligned with the vision of the institutional development plans in their different scopes, contributing to the fulfillment of their attributes.
To train engineers with a solid, broad and profound knowledge of the theory, experimentation and innovation of computational systems capable of being incorporated in an effective way in the productive, economic and social sectors, as well as in the research and education, always maintaining a national and international vision, and a high sense of social responsibility, honesty and sensitivity for the environment.
- SC1: Plans, develops, implements, maintains, and manages information systems to efficiently perform information processing using modern treatment techniques.
- SC2: Generates systems of information aligned with the business processes of an organization to achieve an increase of its competitiveness in the globalized world of the economy.
- SC3: Designs, implements, configures and provides maintenance to systems of computer networks and to the communication systems integrated to them attending the aspects of security in the hardware and the information.
- SC4: Designs, installs, programs and provides technical support to information systems based on programmable hardware devices to generate value in the information processing of organizations.
- SC5: Designs, implements and provides maintenance to intelligent systems including its applications to information systems, industrial informatics and mobile robotics.
- SC6: Plans, administers and evaluates projects based on computer systems playing roles as advisor, consultant and managerial positions.
- SC7: Undertakes projects that guide it towards the creation of companies or that generate solutions of high added value within the organizatio
- SC8: Participates in research projects that guide it to postgraduate programs of quality in the area of computer systems.
- They are professionally developed in one of the following areas: Software or hardware-based information systems, network and communications systems, or intelligent systems.
- They undertake creative and innovative projects in technology-based companies, using their knowledge of computer systems engineering.
- They are project leaders in computer systems, integrating into multidisciplinary teams with a socially responsible approach.
- They expose in a verbal or written way the results of their professional activity, in front of different types of audience, in a correct and assertive way..
- They understand the importance of continuous learning, being able to complement their education through postgraduate studies, specialties or diplomas.

The study plan of the program of the degree in Computing Systems Engineering is integrated by 44 mandatory learning units and 17 optional, besides the formative activities. The program has a value of 273 credits, from which 231 are mandatory, 30 from optional subjects and the rest from other kind of credits. The study plan unveils in terms.
