The program pretends to integrally form professionals in Chemistry with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that allow to analyze and transform natural resources, as well as design and synthetize new materials, so through their professional exercise contribute to the improvement of the conditions of the society, performing its activities with a high sense of responsibility, aesthetics and spirit of service to the community.

The features of an applicant to study Chemistry must possess a high school degree and have knowledge in:
- MATHEMATICS:algebra, analytic geometry and basic knowledge of differential and integral calculus in such way they can access the required levels of the degree’s mathematics.
- PHYSICS:basic knowledge of mechanics, aesthetics, dynamics, electricity and magnetism that allow to deepen in the courses of Physics and Physics-Chemistry of the degree in the knowledge of nature.
- CHEMISTRY:Notions of nomenclature, stoichiometry, aggregation states, basic concepts of matter structure and its link. Have knowledge of the importance of Chemistry in the environment and its economic importance.
- BIOLOGY:Basic knowledge of its structure and functioning of the respiratory processes of plants and animals, with the object that during their courses, they can relate the chemical processes with the living beings and the environmental problems with its possible consequences and solutions.
In addition, the applicant must have the skills and attitudes learnt during high school in different courses, workshops, curricular and extracurricular activities. At least, the applicant must have the skills to:
- Correctly communicate orally and written
- Use concepts and notions
- Develop the creativity.
- Analyze and solve problems.
The graduate from the degree in Chemistry is a professional with a sound scientific and technological formation in Chemistry, with a human sense and a social consciousness. Possesses the required professional competences to develop in the academic, industrial, goods and services sectors in the national and international context.
- Complete the corresponding syllabus.
- Complete the professional service.
- Complete the English language (KET certificate from Cambridge) or 550 Institutional TOEFL points or 65 official CBT TOEFL points.
- The rest academic and administrative requirements are previously established in the corresponding curricular structure.
- Make among the modalities chosen by the Divisional Council: Thesis, professional work, obtain a testimony of high performance in the EGEL-Biol exam of CENEVAL, Academic Excellence.
