The “Estudiantina” from the University of Guanajuato is one of the groups that has remained for 47 years in the public’s taste. Born April 13, 1963 when they presented in the San Roque small square after a function of “Entremeses Cervantinos” from the University theater. The youth who compose the “estudiantina” are students from the University of Guanajuato.
They have toured almost all Southern US, Canada, and the Américas, it was the only student group that won a Golden Disc for sales, the Silver Herald, two Golden clovers and was part of the theme from the golden Aztec calendar as the year’s vocal group, the award of the Tourist Merit as well as numerous recognitions, witnesses of their brilliant career.
Being also who projected nationally and internationally the proliferation of these kind of groups in all universities from the country, colleges and schools.
Indispensable minimum requirements:
- Open or closed theater, plaza, patio or auditorium
- Stage space: 10 x 10 m
- Illumination: Ambient spotlights, spotlight for the solo.
- Sound: 8 microphones, 1 monitor
- Other: Dressing rooms near the presentation space, water, necessary transport to move costumes, props and members, besides the corresponding food.
