INTRODUCTION 

UG Summer Research Program is a twenty-year tradition program;

every year it welcomes students from different International and Mexican

Higher Education Institutions. Students participate in different research

projects proposed by UG faculty members in a broad range of fields of study.

During the 8 week´s program, students conduct a research project 

(in English or Spanish) while they have the opportunity to learn about the Mexican culture and to improve their Spanish.

BENEFITS

• Expenses of room and board are partially covered by a stipend of the University of Guanajuato 
• No additional application is required
• At the end of the program students will receive a certificate of participation

PROGRAM FEATURES

• Guanajuato city tour
• A concert of the University Symphonic Orchestra 
• Other cultural activities will be available 
• Induction week (Mexico and intercultural communication)
• Students are assigned a professor during their research 
• The research gets published and also presented at the University Congress
• Accommodation with host families
• Transportation from and to the Bajio airport on specific days
